Location: Gerroa, New South Wales, Australia
Situation: Looking to take advantage of an insatiable demand for beachside properties, we were asked to develop a site-sensitive master plan in which all properties have views of the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, we were asked to devise complimentary buildings that are in harmony with the site and its coastal environment.
Solution: Several single-family, residential buildings have been master planned for the site promoting a communal feeling without sacrificing privacy. A typical model house has been slightly modified to create several variations of the basic plan.
Quick Facts: Beachside property south of Sydney, Australia has quickly become the hottest location to build vacation homes for Sydney urbanites. People want to be at their weekend beach retreat within a 2 ½ hour drive of suburban Sydney.
