Location: Sydney, Australia
Situation: We have been asked to develop design options for the renovation of our client’s marquee facility. Opened in the early 1980’s, the renovation and expansion is devised to keep place with Sydney’s growing entertainment market and to improve the facility’s revenue generating potential.
Solution: The initial phases of the redevelopment focused on improving its banqueting facilities. A new hall for 1,500 guests would enable the facility to accommodate pre and post event functions while allowing the arena to fulfill its regular schedule of events.
Additional design options revolve around increasing revenue and polishing the image of the facility through a variety of interior and exterior treatments including building in retail shops at street level, enhanced patron amenities on the concourses, upgraded box office, and updated interior finishes.
Quick Facts: This is an AU $27 million proposal.
