Fenway Park
Client:   Boston Red Sox

Location:   Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

Situation:   The Red Sox asked Crawford to assist them in planning how Fenway can be renovated without major disruption to the stadium during the season. The goal included maximizing the number of seats with a minimum goal of 38,000, add a minimum of 50 suites, improve the existing club experiences and look for other untapped revenue generating opportunities.

Solution:   Crawford’s recommendation included technical analysis for additional seats at 10 locations including 500 seats above the ‘Green Monster’ in a party deck atmosphere, two rows of club seating in front of the upper deck and suite deck, develop right field patio seating, 60 new suites, renovating the existing club seating, and adding a new themed restaurant in the outfield and infill seating, among other recommendations.

Quick Facts:   This is the fourth project we’ve worked on with Janet Marie Smith in our careers, the other three being Camden Yards, conversion of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Stadium for the Atlanta Braves, and Conseco Fieldhouse.

Closing Arguments:   Save Fenway!
