Bay 15 at Australian Technology Park provides a contrast between its existing heritage envelope and its new internal structure.
Three tenancy levels have been designed to set against opposing walls, to the north and south of 'Main Street' connected at the upper levels by bridge links. The passage or 'open' side of the tenancies is in the form of a continuous curve, which reverses direction at the crossover. This proposal allows a continuously changing view of the space as people traverse the walkways and in addition the walkways provide an easily understood and readily accessed means of escape in the event of fire.
The space utilizes its unique qualities to create an attractive, stimulating working environment. |
