As part of a Public-Private Partnership Development Team, Crawford provided design and master planning proposals within the city core, which ran the region’s main train line. Construction was planned to be located over the line without impediment to the daily train schedule.
The project involved the development of a 300-room convention centre hotel; 20,000 seat football stadium, 8,500-seat convention centre, banquet hall, 20,000 square meters of exhibition halls and associated facilities. The hotel was master planned to share back of house facilities with the renovated arena as part of the development to accommodate 5,000-10,000 delegate conventions.
